Hyaluronic acid is a precious substance that holds moisture, like a sponge, in our skin, so it appears plump, hydrated and smooth. It is a crucial component, naturally produced within the body and is found within the skin and subcutaneous tissues.
The sad news is as we age, our body is less capable of producing this vital ingredient. As you age, you may start to notice that your skin loses its youthfulness and becomes dull and dehydrated. The skin begins to sag and lose suppleness, more wrinkles and fine lines start forming.

SkinHydra Booster contains stabilised hyaluronic acid and is a FDA-approved cosmetic injectable.
It is the first BDDE-free, stabilized HA-based injectable developed with IBSA's patented NAHYCO®️ technology. This treatment targets skin concerns such as dehydration by stimulating the production of all four types of collagen and elastin. These proteins are responsible for maintaining the skin's youthful and healthy appearance, countering skin laxity, and improving and restoring skin firmness.
The treatment is designed to not only boost and hydrate the skin but also address ageing and sagging tissues from within.
SkinHydra Booster injection is chemically bonded, which is different from other HA-based dermal fillers that are thermally bonded. Although both SkinHydra Booster and HA-based dermal fillers consist of the same key ingredient, hyaluronic acid, the gel's molecular configuration and mechanical properties differ.
SkinHydra Booster usually consists of two treatments carried out one month apart.
In the first treatment session, our doctor will inject SkinHydra Booster under the skin's surface using fine needles at five specific points on each side of the face. This allows the gel-like product to disperse evenly and react with the patient's tissue, giving the skin a hydration boost.
During the following four weeks, the treatment continues its work and enhances collagen and elastin production, lending a smoother and more plump-up appearance, thus remodelling the skin.
The following SkinHydra Booster will be scheduled in a month. Maintenance treatment can be carried out every six months.
There is minimal to zero downtime with this quick and fuss-free treatment. The injection points may be noticeable initially, but they should subside within a day or two.
For the first 24 hours following SkinHydra Booster, please refrain from applying makeup or participating in any strenuous exercise, including swimming. Also, avoid using steam rooms or saunas while the skin is healing during the first few days.
SkinHydra Booster is marked as a medical device in Singapore under HSA regulation. Treatments such as dermal filler, injectable neurotoxins, and SkinHydra Booster can only be prescribed and carried out by registered and trained medical doctors in Singapore.

What kind of results can I expect?
Lines and wrinkles will appear less noticeable, and skin will be more hydrated, smoother and firmer. You may notice that your skin appears more "plump-up", vibrant and healthy. Improvements usually occur for about four weeks and increase with new collagen and elastin formation.
Is SkinHydra Booster safe? Are there any possible risks or side effects?
SkinHydra Booster contains no synthetic chemicals and is completely metabolised in the body. Although it is not uncommon to experience some tenderness, redness, or minor bruising post-treatment, these effects are temporary and should clear up in a few hours or up to a day. However, if other side effects are present, please consult a doctor immediately.
Who is not suitable to undergo SkinHydra Booster?
Those with bleeding conditions or underlying medical conditions that result in a weaker immune system, such as HIV, cancer, or diabetes, must always seek medical advice and clearance before undergoing any form of cosmetic treatment.
SkinHydra Booster is also not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Who is the ideal candidate for SkinHydra Booster?
It is suitable for those unhappy with their skin laxity or experiencing obvious signs of ageing, such as wrinkles, fine lines, or collagen loss.
Can SkinHydra Booster be combined with other aesthetic treatments?
Certainly! On its own, SkinHydra Booster can stimulate the skin to produce youth-boosting collagen, elastin, and deep hydration. It can also be combined with other treatment types, for example, Pico Fractional Laser, Ultherapy, or Anti-wrinkle injection(BoNTA), to further counter ageing and improve skin health.
