WHAT IS NON-SURGICAL RHINOPLASTY WITH PDO NOSE THREAD LIFT?
Non-surgical Rhinoplasty with PDO Nose Thread Lift involves the use of Polydioxanone threads (PDO) [1], [2], [3]. These synthetic non-antigenic and dissolvable threads are not new in the medical industry. In fact, they have been used as suturing materials in cardiac and pediatric surgeries for over fifty years.
They are also used aesthetically to help retard signs of ageing for many men and women by tightening saggy folds around the under-eye area, cheeks, nose-to-mouth lines, jawlines, and jowls. PDO threads can also be applied to the body to gently and effectively lift and firm the skin.
Besides these, using PDO Threads for nose augmentation produces predictable and visible results.
WHAT IS THE TREATMENT PROCESS LIKE?
Non-surgical Rhinoplasty uses absorbable PDO thread to achieve a higher, straighter, and sharper nose bridge. It can also improve the nose tip’s definition without the need for surgery.
During the procedure, Dr Ivan Puah will anaesthetise areas of the nose. Then, he will carefully place the threads in the nose to heighten the nose bridge and nose tip. These threads act as scaffolding structure (contour and shape the nose) as well as collagen stimulator (encourages new collagen production for a long-lasting nose lifting effect).

How soon can I see the results?

Are there any side effects?
Generally, PDO nose thread lift is a safe procedure. You may expect some mild bruising, swelling, and soreness after the treatment, but these will gradually resolve within a few days to a week.

What is the material in the PDO thread?
PDO material has been in use for more than 30 years in various medical disciplines such as plastic surgery and gynaecology treatments because of its high tensile strength, good pliability and smooth tissue passage.
How long does non-surgical rhinoplasty take?
Non-surgical rhinoplasty with PDO thread will take around 30 minutes.
How many threads will I require?
