For women of all ages: 4D Fluid Facelift
What’s involved
The 4D Fluid Facelift treatment restores a more youthful appearance by targeting volume loss on the face, provides subtle lifting to the face and improves skin quality. This is done with the use of dermal facial fillers, injected into problematic facial areas
The treatment also smoothes out fine lines on the forehead, improves the appearance of marionette lines, is able to remodel the cheeks and chin for better facial definition, reduces hollowness under the eyes, among others.
This procedure may be combined with Anti-wrinkle Injection (BoNTA), Chemical Peel and Pico Fractional Laser for an even smooth complexion and younger-looking appearance.
How to prepare for fillers
Prepping for any treatment is a key component in achieving desired results. During consultation, the patient should inform the doctor :
- of his/her treatment history e.g. if the patient had dermal fillers done before or any other forms of cosmetic injectables
- If he/she has any underlying medical condition. For female patients, it is essential to inform the doctor if she is pregnant, suspect she may be pregnant or is currently breastfeeding. Cosmetic injectables are not suitable for pregnant ladies and breast-feeding mums
- If he or she is on immunosuppressive therapy
- If he or she has any allergies to the dermal filler ingredients

For saggy skin: Ultherapy
What’s involved
Ultherapy® uses time-tested ultrasound energy to lift and tighten the skin naturally and restore skin's elasticity and youthful appearance without surgery, putting the bounce back into the skin and your confidence.
It uses micro-focused high-intensity ultrasound to penetrate your skin, heating the targeted tissue. It triggers the body's regenerative response and jumpstarts a natural process known as neocollagenesis, where the body produces fresh collagen. This gently and gradually lifts the skin and makes it supple again.
Numerous studies have confirmed the effectiveness of Ultherapy. In one study, 65.6% of patients reported a noticeable improvement in the skin laxity of their lower face and neck within 90 days after the treatment [1].
Another study revealed that 46% of patients experienced improved skin laxity and wrinkling of their decolletage after 90 days, increasing to 62% after 180 days. These positive findings underline the consistent and lasting benefits of Ultherapy [2].
How to prepare for Ultherapy
Preparing for Ultherapy is a straightforward process that involves minimal effort on your part. Here are the simple steps to follow:
- Maintain a regular diet and exercise: There is no need to make any significant changes to your diet or exercise routine before the treatment. You can continue with your normal activities without restrictions.
- Remove make-up and skin care products: Before the treatment, ensure that you thoroughly remove any makecare and skin care products from the areas that will be treated during Ultherapy.
While undergoing the treatment, it is common to experience heat sensation or tingling, which typically diminishes once the treatment is completed.
Following the session, you may notice redness, swelling or tenderness in the treated areas. In rare cases, Ultherapy may lead to bruising or numbness, but these effects should resolve within a few days.
Ensure that you look for a clinic that uses authentic-Ultherapy machines, so that you receive the best and safest care possible.
Pain Factor (0 to 5)
1 - As the ultrasound energy is delivered, you will feel tiny bursts of energy deposited into the skin. This sensation is said to indicate that the collagen-building process has been initiated. The discomfort levels will vary from person to person.
How long is one session?
45 minutes to an hour
Downtime
There is no downtime, and normal activities can be resumed after treatment.
How many sessions are needed for noticeable results?
In general, one treatment is usually required for most patients. However, some patients may benefit from additional treatments based on the degree of skin laxity, how our body responds to ultrasound energy, and the collagen-building process.
For stubborn fat pockets: Liposuction
What’s involved
Dr Ivan Puah's MDC-Sculpt®️ Lipo technique is a multi-dimensional contouring approach that works on each individual's unique body shape, fat anatomy, fat distribution and skin laxity.
Localised stubborn fat that fails to respond to exercise or diet is removed, while body sculpting is carried out simultaneously.
This approach encourages better skin retraction, which traditional liposuction fails to deliver. Results from Modern Liposuction with MDC-Sculpt®️ Lipo technique are natural and well-shaped.
How to prepare for Liposuction
Prior to liposuction surgery, you may be asked to:
- Undergo a series of blood tests
- Stop taking certain medications or adjust your current medications
- Stop smoking or vaping as smoking can impede wound healing and increase the risks of wound infection.
- Avoid taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs and certain herbal supplements as they can potentially increase the risks of bleeding.
Prep your home
Post-procedure rest and recovery is important. Ideally, prepare your home surroundings for the recovery phase. You can do this by:
- Placing essential items, including medicines, near the bed and within reach.
- Putting aside comfortable clothing to wear during this period.
- Buying easy to prepare meals
- Having someone to take care of you at least for the next ONE to TWO days if possible.
Pain factor (0 to 5)
2 – Most patients describe the treatment sensation as sore, akin to an over-exercise kind of soreness, rather than pain.
Downtime
Minimal; patients can resume daily activities after a day or two’s rest.
*Results, sessions needed and downtime varies from patient to patient. Consultation is recommended.
