Medical Grade Skin Peel reduces dead skin and improves skin’s clarity. Issues such as skin pigmentation, acne, extensive acne scarring, enlarged pores, fine lines, advanced sun damage and others can be addressed effectively. When medical grade skin peel is applied to the skin, it causes the top layers of cells to dry up and peel off over a period of several days to one week. When the old skin peels off, a new layer of skin with smoother texture is exposed.
Medical Grade Skin Peel is highly effective on the face, neck, chest, back, arms and legs.
Results are visible within days and improvements should continue for 30 to 60 days.
Results depend on the depth of the peel.
Post treatment skin care regime will be advised after the session. Some general guidelines to follow are: • Wash nightly with a gentle cleanser such as Cetaphil and remove any makeup very gently.
• Apply a thick, bland moisturizer such as Cetaphil Cream.
• Avoid facials and scrubs as your skin is very sensitive and dry during this period.• Avoid all sun exposure for 2 to 8 weeks if possible.
• Always apply sunscreen.
The cost for the treatment depends on the type and depth of peel, and the areas to be treated. Our doctor will be able to advise you further during the consultation.
Depending on the strength, type and depth of the peel; peeling usually starts within 48 to 72 hours after treatment and the peel will generally last for 5 to 7 days. The skin will appear slightly redder for 2 to 3 days after treatment. Skin will feel tight and more taut. It is important to avoid sun exposure during the healing period as skin will be more sensitive to sunlight.
Skin peels not only treat the top layers but also penetrate the mid to lower levers of the epidermis to deliver better, extended results. Because chemical peels are so active and deeply penetrating, downtime of up to 10 days can be expected.
